Flora
Boxer / Pit Bull mix
Sex: spayed female
Age: 9 mo
Size: 45 lbs. eventually
Until Flora turns her head to profile, you might not realize there is Boxer in the mix. When she plays, you can see it easily. Either way, she is lovely.

This bouncy happy girl is quite the social butterfly. She's excited and happy to meet everyone - people, dogs, insects, whatever. She is interested in everything, and friendly with all.

****Newsflash**** A note from the volunteer who took Flora home for a while says, "She is happy to play with the big boys or run around with fast ones. Good on basic commands and getting better daily.

"Her Pit Bull genes make her loving with people. Since she's socialized with other dogs, she can be off leash at Hendry's and Wilcox once she firms up her recall commands. I have had her at my house over a week now and she plays with my two big boys, does fine in the house, and is learning all about the wonders of chewing sticks and going for runs- she already knew how to chase balls. Her puppyish antics are great to watch and she loves to cuddle at night with my two pit mixes!" *******

Boxers are known to be high-spirited, playful, curious and energetic. Highly intelligent, eager and quick to learn. Flora will need basic obedience, but with her genes, she could go further.

Dogs like Flora usually bond very closely with the family. She should be loyal and affectionate, and get along well with children. Calm, firm consistent pack leaders will create a joyful mix of good behavior, independence and love with this girl.

Come to K-9 Pals at the County shelter and meet this sweet calm girl and do more than imagine what a great family you'd have with her. Take Flora home and make it so.
