Hi, my name is Yancy.
I came to the shelter two years ago when I was just a little puppy, and I’ve grown up to be a fun, playful and independent young lady with a goofy attitude.
I haven’t seen as much of the outside world as I’d like to, but I do really well when I get to go on fieldtrips with the volunteers. I admit new environments and new people sometimes worry me, but once I have the chance to warm up, I gain confidence quickly.
I would like to live with someone who is assertive, patient and who can show me the ropes and teach me new tricks.
I do know some basic obedience already and will do almost anything for a treat. Would you like to see me tap dance? No problem.
I like to play with other dogs, although I can’t help but try to dominate the game sometimes. I’m not aggressive, I just need some direction and boundaries from my pack leader(s).
