How do you do? My name is Brandy, and my muzzle may be gray, but I’ve got a spring to my step and plenty of energy.
****NEWS FLASH!!!!**** Brandy was chosen by a special volunteer for a special job. K-9 Pals hosted 2 groups of 3rd graders from a local school to come visit the shelter and get some education on what K-9 Pals does, and what goes on at a shelter. WHO was selected to be the dog the children would get to meet, up close and personal? BRANDY!!!! YES! Sweet Brandy met about 40 kids and had about 80 hands giving her treats and pats. What a lucky dog - and what lucky kids! Thanks, kids, teachers,parents and K-9 Pals for making such a special day for our Brandy. As expected, she was perfect - sweet, calm, happy, and loving all the attention. ****Now back to the regular information on our very special girl.***
I just know there’s a family out there who wants a loving older gal to hang out with. I’m picky about dog friends and prefer those who are not too forward, but when I like one, I play like a pup.
Here is a list of some of my favorite things: belly rubs, kids, treats, naps in the sun, short walks around the neighborhood, lounging in a spot where I can watch the world go by.
I’m taking some medication for my achy joints, but it’s pretty standard stuff. So, if you’re looking for a companion who is mellow and well-mannered with a youthful spirit, I’m yours - I'm Brandy.
